Saturday, noon-6pm: Artists Studios are Open to the Public
Sunday, noon-6pm: Artists Studios are Open to the Public

What is Gowanus Open Studios?

For one weekend each year, artists working in the former factories, warehouses and studio buildings in Gowanus invite the public to visit their studios, see their work, and talk about their process.  Last year 150 artists welcomed over 3,000 visitors into their studios. GOS is presented by Arts Gowanus, a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

How does it work?

Visitors create their own self-guided tours during this FREE event. Their website will feature all participating artists with samples of their art (Coming Soon: Directory of Artists). Visitors can select artists to visit by perusing website and/or pick up a map at one of the designated map distribution locations.  Balloons and signs will identify each open studio building.  Everyone is welcome.
