Public Engagement Meeting: Gowanus Canal “Owls Head” CSO Facility

DEP will host a public engagement meeting about the development of the Gowanus Canal “Owls Head” combined sewer overflow facility.

About this event

On February 10th at 7 pm, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host a public engagement meeting about the development of the Gowanus Canal “Owls Head” combined sewer overflow facility at 2nd Avenue and 6th Street, Brooklyn.

DEP and the design team will provide a brief overview of the project goals and requirements and then facilitate a community workshop to hear from the public. The community’s feedback will inform the design of the City’s facilities and Big Reuse and Gowanus Canal Conservancy’s facilities, as well as opportunities for public open space, program, and ecosystem restoration. We are looking forward to hearing your ideas!

We encourage you to register in advance for this meeting. Fill out the registration form below to let us know that you’ll be attending.
