Important Info for Gowanus Based Businesses

Office of NYC Councilmember Brad Lander and Pratt Center for Community Development have started the Gowanus community planning process. The Pratt Center for Community Development proposed holding small group interviews to better understand what land use and infrastructure issues are important to a wide range of stakeholders. Some of this information will then be reported back at the first public meeting, which will be held in late October.
They would like to schedule an interview that focuses on the point-of-view of manufacturers and other businesses in the Gowanus area. The interview would run for about an hour and a half and include some time working with a map of the area.

Pratt is available anytime during the day on Tue 10/1, Wed 10/3, or Thu 10/4 of next week, and is flexible on location. Is there a time and/or location that would work best for you?

Please understand how important it is for you to voice your concerns and views for potential future development of our community. If you keep silent, others will speak and unfortunately it may lead to changes that could negatively affect your business.
We strongly recommend you participate in this process.

If you would like to participate in these interviews, please email us as soon as possible to gowanusalliance@gmail.com
