The cancelled Oct. 29 meeting has been rescheduled for December 4, from 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm at St. Francis College Callahan Center, 180 Remsen Street, First Floor. Attending from DEC will be James Tierney, Asst. Commissioner for Water; Robert Schick, Division Director for Environmental Remediation; Venetia Lannon, Director, DEC Region 2; and Gary Kline, Chief, New York City Municipal Compliance Section, Bureau of Water Compliance.
Topics of discussion include:
1) Coordination between DEC and other agencies regarding the canal clean-up, such as EPA, NYC DEP, and others
2) Combined Sewer Overflows
3) Water Quality Reclassification
4) Prioritization of water pollution control projects in NYC
5) Modeling and other technical issues.
Members of the public, elected officials and staff, and agency staff are all welcome and should RSVP by Wednesday 11/21.
