The New York Women’s Foundation
In 2012, NYWF will distribute $250,000 to address the immediate needs of women, trans-women, gender non-conforming individuals, and families most impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Grant awards of up to $25,000 will be made to applicant organizations to support response and recovery efforts undertaken between November 1, 2012 and February 28, 2013.

North Star Fund
Funds will be put to immediate use supporting grassroots organizations and activists who are aiding disenfranchised families and communities cope with this disaster and recover from it.

Citizens Committee for New York City
Groups may be long-standing, newly established or in the process of forming, and are not required to have non-profit or 501(c)(3) status. Groups without this status will need a fiscal conduit or a bank account if a grant is awarded.
